Alpenhorn, or Hornkuh (horny cow), cheese is an original Swiss cheese produced with milk from the horned Braunvieh (brown cattle), known for its milk with high cream. The cheese is produced in the Appenzell region of Switzerland but should not be confused with the cheese of the same name. It is much creamier and more complex than Appenzeller. As you would expect, this cheese is a great melter, but also a great snacker with some charcuterie or fresh fruit.
